Junior Integrated Risk Management Officer - Group Risk Governance team

Job description

  • Function as a key member of Group Risk Governance team to participate in and/ or directly perform:
    1. Research legal requirements and published industry practices in the business sectors of assigned member companies as well as international standards for material risks management to provide advice to the senior management level (CRO, BOD, BOM) and Representatives in establishing risk management frameworks for the assigned member companies (including developing and monitoring policies);
    2. Clearly identify risk management requirements arising in the member companies, collaborates with risk management specialists in the Risk Management Division to advise/ consult the member companies in formulating risk management policies, regulations and risk appetite and limits;
    3. Coordinate with assigned member companies and related stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of interaction process and the quality of management information. Ensure that the information provided by member companies is complete, accurate, and truthfully reflects the risk profile and compliance with legal safety limits;
    4. Gather information, analyze records, evaluate feasibility, and critique handling plans with the subsidiaries regarding risk-handling proposals that could significantly impact VPBank’s reputation and financial stability;
    5. Conduct scenario analysis and propose early warnings about potential violations of legal safety limits of assigned member companies.
  • Participate in other ad hoc task assigned by and report directly to seniors, team leader and Product Owner
  • Perform different kinds of periodical Group risk management reports like report on Risk Appetite Statement and limits compliance status, Group Risk Governance implementation progress report;
  • Conduct research and analysis of change impact related to proposed risk management policies and processes, risk limit system to ensure the effectiveness of the Group risk management framework under request and supervise by team’s seniors and leader;
  • Prepare workshop, meeting materials, presentation on various topic of risk management;
  • Responsible for presenting individual and team’s workings towards team, team leader, Product Owner;
  • Participate in other ad hoc task assigned by and report directly to seniors, team leader and Product Owner.

Requirements

Educational background:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree on Finance – Banking, Insurance, Security, Investment, Economics or other related majors;
  • CFA, FRM is a plus.

Professional experience:

  • 1 to 2 years of work experience in industries related to financial services, such as banking, securities, insurance, finance, or in advisory, audit, or accounting roles.

Skills:

  • Proficient in computer skills, especially Excel, Power Point, Word, SharePoint and basic SQL;
  • Fluent in English (4 skills);
  • Exceptional communication skills (both verbally and in writing, in English and Vietnamese);
  • Strong analytical & quantitative problem solving skills;
  • Self-motivated and driven to produce high quality deliverables;
  • Ability to work both individually and collaboratively in a team environment;
  • Ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
