1. Assess current and anticipated business needs related to technology ranging from infra, application and digital development / improvement road-maps.
- Manage day to day delivery of IT Service Center support and Change Request management process
- Keep developing team’s operational strengths, motivating teams to keep improving the delivery efficiency and quality.
- Determine metrics to measure IT service performance, comparing actual results to established benchmarks, and lead teams to solve issues as they arise.
2. Closely manage the financial aspects of technology development and implementation by managing operating and capital budgets;
- Perform careful analysis and forecasting of IT accountable budgets;
- Provide leadership and guidance in IT cost optimization initiatives and device financial planning to meet budget objectives for CIO;
- Accountability to CIO, FIN Control(s) and DCEO/ CEO of IT managed budgets.Optimize IT spending to budget as approved by FIN department(s);
- Proactively manage IT vendor spend to budget (& optimized with savings) and manage vendor delivery and risks;
3. Make decisive decisions on hiring staff to continuously improve and position team for business growth. Nature ‘best in class’ of talents hiring, skill developments across all responsible offices.
4. Build and operate IT Vendor Management team
- Work with Procurement to acquire external IT services to a high level of standards
5. Proactively manage standards and practices, making adjustments based on changing circumstances or / and business strategies. Have in-depth banking knowledge of IT Technical platforms and services to assist CIO with strategic plans, innovation planning and organizational changes.
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science or similar Business or technical fields
- Post Graduate is an advantage
Relevant Knowledge/ Expertise:
- At least 12+ years of experience in high quality and demand environment such as leading (creditable) bank or finalcial institution. Minimum 6 years in banking.
- Lead IT service delivery and financial budgeting of greater than US 20+ mil annually
- Designed and research IT strategies and build action plans / road-maps at CIO and support levels
- Good technical and product background in banking (o financial industry), ideally in Retail, Wholesale, Wealth / Private Banking in a premium bank / institution
- Good business and technical hands-on capabilities. Have a business driven mind-set of banking technology services and products
- Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills. Has the capability to lead the team and overcome the business and technical challenges
- Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, business leaders, and other senior management throughout the company
- Possess good analytical, cognitive, planning and organizing skillset.
